Welcome to Wide Web Zine and PromoRoll. This project was built by, and owned by David Thrift (that’s me), artist, photographer, content creator curator, and site owner at liiinkz.com to serve as a platform for personal blogging and curated content.

Specifically, I wanted a project where I could promote things on the internet that I wouldn’t post on my primary website, or share on primary Twitter channels.

PromoRoll @PromoRoll on Twitter, which now powers Wide Web Zine at liiinkz.com for curating content, was originally meant to be just a small side project along with my primary website at ddavidd.com, and was never meant to be turned into a full fledged project on it's own dedicated domain.

When I started the PromoRoll project, I only had the @PromoRoll Twitter page for it, and one page with some info about it on my primary website.

PromoRoll was originally supposed to just be my “get away” from more serious work from time to time when I just wanted to have some fun on Twitter, and promote some interesting content that I wouldn’t promote elsewhere, especially NSFW content. I'm a grown ass man, and I like smut. Don't judge me... but I do not want to mix NSFW content with content on my my main website for understandable reasons.

I think I follow a healthy mix of SFW and NSFW content on the internet, but I realized I didn't have a place where I could really post and promote a mix of this content without feeling like someone wouldn't follow my work as a curator because I posted something dirty. I believe there is a place for adult content, but it shouldn’t be in all places. That is why I have combined my PromoRoll project with my Wide Web Zine at my liiinkz.com domain so that I can freely curate both SFW and NSFW content as I find it and wish to share it.

Wide Web Zine at liiinkz.com was started on Wednesday, December 21st, 2022 at 2:20 AM CST. PromoRoll on Twitter launched on Wednesday, August 24th, 2022 at 11:00 AM CST, and moved from ddavidd.com to Blogger at liiinkz.com on Friday, December 23rd, 2022 at 8:58 PM CST.
